Notes:Verified with Ohwi, J. 'Flora of Japan' and R.W.Munson (1989) The Daylily. Plant tuberous with fleshy and thick fibrous roots. Leaves linear to 13mm broad and 30 cm long. Scape to 50cm tall, 5-6 flowered. Inflorescence sometimes forked at the base but short. Tepals 6, yellow/ orange (24B) to 7 cm long fused at the base in a tube to 1-1.5cm long. Inner tepal to 20mm broad. Flowers slightly fragrant. Stamen 6, anthers to 8mm long purplish black. Bracts triangular ovate 10 x 15 mm.
