Notes: Verified with Flora of Tropical East Africa Euphorbiaceae (Part2). 1998. Subgneus Euphorbia. Plant succulent with a single 4 angled stem to 2cm in diameter. Angles with bifid spines. Spines shields contiguous and not diverging at apex. Cyathia axillary, sessile all with male flowers. Glands green fused around into a cup-like structure and with fimbriate lobes in between the male flowers. In the wild the plant is highly branched and reaches 1.5m tall.
