Notes: Verified with Flora of Southern Africa vol. 18. 1986. Leaves simple and deeply serrate. Flowers white small. Calyx divided to base. Stamens fused in a column, anthers connective expanded acute and with two awns at the base. Ovary hirsute three locular. Style shorter than the petals. Capsule with seperating valves. Seeds curved with aril consisting of a small whitish and fleshy lobe on each side of the hilum. Said to only occur in Kentani district but this accession is from a different locality.

Field notes: Small scrambling sub-shrub, rooting radially at growing tips. Small white flowers, followed by spherical capsules. Aria priscgly bluntNatal Ref. U2073/88.
