Notes:Checked with Flora of China draft (www.eFloras.org) and the European Garden Flora vol6. Erect large Shrub. Flowers in pair, axillary. Corolla yellow, bilateral bulging at base (seen on flowering herbarium voucher). Branchlets with brown pith soon hollow. Ovaries distinct. (Section. Ceoloxylosteum). Inflorescence stalk short. Calyx 5 lobed with obtuse teeth., not split to base. Fruit first white and then yellow/ orange translucent with bright purplish seeds inside. Submitted as 1975-6281 Lonicera caerulea var altaica with field notes as Black fruit with grey bloom. Flowering specimen added 15/06/2008.
