Notes: Verified with Cuénod, A. 'Flora de la Tunisie'. Leaves 6 in a basal rosette. Leaves entire to 8 cm long with dotted edge. Scape to 10cm high with few flowers. Tepals light purple with darker midrib. Ovary and anthers dark purple. Locules with 4 ovules each. Flowers opening from the top to the bottom. var. ciliolata is said to have style longer than ovary and flowers opening from the bottom to the top.
