Notes: Verified with Flora of China online and Flora of the USSR english version vol 7. Leaves pinnatisect, opposite. Leaflets entire. Stems 8-ribbed. Inflorescence panicle like many flowered. Flowers white, 5-merous. Sepals glabrous except abaxially along margin.Achenes glabrous with persistent adpressed silky hairy style. Achenes strongly compressed and distinctly marginate.

Field notes: Herbaceous climber to 1.6m. Occasional. On south-west facing slopes in open Quercus mongolica woodland with Corylus mandshurica and Lespedeza bicolor, sandy loam soil above limestone rock.
