Notes:Verified with Ohwi, J. 'flora of Japan'. Erect shrub, inflorescence a large terminal and pyramidal panicle. Panicle to 8cm long, flowers white with a few sterile one. Sterile flowers to 15mm across with 4 petals and staminodes. Seeds with a tail at both ends.
