Notes: Verified with the European Garden Flora. Leaves large, rounded densely hirsute abaxially. Bracts few. Corymb large and flat with a few white and sterile flowers on the edge. Fertile flowers numerous, white with exserted stamens. Caspule ribbed with very few seeds. Submited as subsp. discolor 'Sterilis' but there are few sterile flowers. Subsp discolor has tiny warts on the leaves.
