Notes: Verified with Flora of North America online (www.eFloras.org). Inflorescence a raceme-like thyrse. Flowers actinomorphic. Hypanthium campanulate, red-pink to 4mm long. Sepals and petals erect. Petals 5, white, small and included to 2mm long. Sepals pinkish and glandular. Stamens 1.5-2mm long, included. Style 1.5mm long. Variety pulchra is not recognised in the Flora.

Field notes: Seed list no.21. Hairy leaves in multiple rosettes grow hanging in crevices on N-facing granite cliffs. Startling racemes of brilliant fuchsia-pink to carmine.
