Notes: Verified with Autrey, JC., Bosser, J & Fergusson, IK. 'Flore des Mascareignes' vol. 121-126. Shrub with alternate leaves. Stem hollow and leaves glabrous and entire. Inflorescence a lax terminal cyme. Flowers shortly pedicellate. Calyx campanulate valvate in bud and hairy inside. Flowers white slightly scented. Corolla urceolate with short recurved lobes. Stamens 5 inserted at the top of the tube. Nectary disc bright orange. Style terminal, stigmas bilobed with 2 lateral green appendages. Close to the genus Ehretia.
