Helianthemum pilosum (L.) Pers.

Verified by: Temperate sect. 22 October 2012
Notes: Verified with Flora Iberica online Leaves ovate, glabrescent. Stipules present almost as long as petioles. Flowers white with yellow base. Style sigmoid at base, stigmas large. Calyx of 3 large sepals, each with 3 large veins and glabrous. Submitted as H. violaceum which is in synonymy with H. pilosum in Flora Europaea and which should have narrow leaves with revolute margins. Closer to H. almeriense in the same complex of species but difficult to find out why H. violaceum name was resurected in Flora Iberica. Will leave as H. pilosum complex for now.
