Notes: Verified with Deroin, T. 2001 'Flore de Madagascar'. Stem twinning, leaves deeply cordate at base. Flowers solitary with numerous large bracts concealing the calyx lobes. Flowers campanulate opening in the morning, yellow with a deep brown base. Style fused, stigmas 2 and globular. Pantropical species.
