Yunnan 2010 Caprifoliaceae for the Flora of China

Region:Yunnan; Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Pref.; Bao shan
Gazetteer:Off provincial road 230 at Gang dang, Bai hua ling, Han long zhai (village) (at the end of Z003 county road). Walk to jin chang he (river).
Coordinates: 25.2981 N, 98.7974 E  Alt: 1755m 

Flowers dark yellow, calyx bracts white, leaf like. Large shrub 4-5 m tall.
Evergreen broadleaf forest to 20 m tall, slope 2 degrees.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online Stipules 5mm long acuminate, deciduous. Stem and leaves pubescent. Inflorescence cymose, terminal and few flowered. Calycophyll with long petiole. Calyx lobes to 2 mm long sericeous. Corolla to 15mm long with yellow long papillae at mouth. Similar to Schizomussaenda dehiscens but leaves are too wide. All the other species of Mussaenda seem to have longer calyx lobes.
