Region:Yunnan; Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Pref.; Lushui Xian
Gazetteer:Gao li gong shan, 50 km from Liuku to Yao Jiaping on the 316 provincial road.
Coordinates: 25.9853 N, 98.7061 E  Alt: 2718m 

Climbing on Betula, 8-10 m tall. Stem woody at base. Corolla fleshy, black glandular hairs on the outside, pale yellow, purple tinged. Calyx glandular ciliate, ovary 3-locular.
Primary mountain semi-evergreenmized forest with Lithocarpus, Rhododendron, Betula, Rubus, on the roadside

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online Stem hairs curved, some glandular hairs. Leaves adaxially sparsely hairy, on midvein densely hairy. Abaxially sparsely ciliate and slightly glandular hairy. Margins sparsely ciliate. Style exserted, hairy at base to more than half. Calyx, bracts and bracteoles glandular ciliate. Corolla glandular hairy outside. Ovary 3 locular with 1 ovule in each locule.
