Gazetteer:Gaoligong Shan. On road towards Myanmar border from Nianma luoqu (18 km from Lu ma deng, across the concrete bridge, above the military station).
Coordinates: 27.1788 N, 98.7303 E  Alt: 2998m 

Trailing shrub with stems to 2 m and white sap. Flowers pendent. Corolla 7 cm long, 3 cm diameter, yellow-green with dark purple veins and dark purple blotches inside at the base. Filaments yellow-green, anthers dark purple, pollen pale yellow. Stems purple flecked. Leaves smell fetid when crushed.
Rocky slope with bamboo (Fargesia), Rubus, Acer, Rosa, Rhododendron and Hydrangea. Trailing over vertical rock face.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online www.efloras.org. Subgenus Codonopsis. Calyx lobes & filaments glabrous.
