Region:Yunnan; Zhongdian (Shangri-la) Pref.; Deqin Xian
Gazetteer:5 km from Geza (Gezancun) towards Langdoucun. Top of the pass.
Coordinates: 28.1476 N, 99.9037 E  Alt: 4479m 

Procumbent tuberous herb. Leaves purple-brown, fleshy. Flowers pale purple with a darker blotch on inner petal apex (only one flower collected). Fruit erect on recurved pedicels. Capsule green.
Alpine scree. SW-facing slope 45 with Potentilla, Bistorta, Arenaria, mosses.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online Section Benecinctae. Tuber oblong, with brown skin, branched.
