Herb 15 cm tall. Bracts purple. Flowers white with purple veins. Stamens bluish purple. Stigma dull mauve.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online Bracts different from the basal leaves, purple and almost entire. Bracts longer than the flower. Corolla two lipped but upper lip only sligthly bilobed. Corolla tube sligthly saccate and bent at base above the hairy annulus. Stamens exserted, style subterminal. This is variable species with usually white bracts.
