Scrambling herb with white sap. Flowers burgundy and pale green. Whole plant with strongly unpleasant smell.
Roadside, SW-facing bank, 30 slope. With Codonopsis, Pedicularis, Lonicera, Notholirion, Thalictrum.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online www.efloras.org. Subgenus Codonopsis. Stigma 3-lobed. Calyx lobes hairy, corolla globose campanulate.
