Gazetteer:Dao Cheng on road S216 to Xiangcheng.
Coordinates: 29.1397 N, 99.9650 E  Alt: 3780m 

Dense shrub 2 m tall, spreading 2 m. Some branches arching. Stems solid. In fruit, fruits green ripening to translucent red. Ovaries completely fused. Bracts linear.
Rocky river gorge, slope 20, S-facing. With Rubus, Clematis, Ribes, Prunus, Deutzia, Quercus.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online Bracteoles very small and ciliate. Bark exfoliates into strings.
