Gazetteer:Walk from the Kunming Institute of Botany, field station to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Coordinates: 27.0219 N, 100.1754 E  Alt: 3876m 

Herb 10 cm tall. Leaves dark purple. Flowers dark purple. Upper lip of corolla white-hairy and curled behind lower lip. Few plants in flower.
Rhododendron heath with Allium, Campanula and Cremanthodium.

Identification Notes:Verified with Flora of China online Ser. Trichoglossae. Corolla beaked. Lower corolla lip spreading, not enveloping galea. Galea strongly curved, densely long pubescent, beak glabrous. Calyx lobes 5.
